We have many, many pet beds. In addition to the “unofficial” pet beds such as the couch, floor cushions and, of course, the HUMAN bed, there are currently four pet beds in various locations of our apartment.

Being the pet bed connoisseurs that we (apparently) are, we recently added a fourth to our collection: The Bowser Donut Bed.

We’ve had the bed for about a month now, and it’s by far the best one we have ever purchased.

From the canine viewpoint (based on informal interviews–ie: watching the dogs take turns sleeping in the bed), it’s a very comfortable bed. I’m thinking that’s pretty much the only requirement the dogs had.

We humans really like the fact that you can remove the inner cushion of the bed (Cindy likes to take the cushion out and use it as a mini-bed when she takes Pom Pom to work)– the cover of the bed is also removable and machine-washable.

Another bonus: You can pick colors and patterns for the cover of the bed. No more ugly pet bed that clashes with the color scheme of your living room!

Of course, there HAS to be a downside to the bed, and of course it’s the price. An extra small bed (our 8-lb Papillion fits snugly in it) costs about $65.

Pros: Very durable bed. Machine washable.

Cons: Price!
