If you still haven’t gotten your pet microchipped, this story might just get you off the couch and into the vet’s office:
Several months ago, a Maltese named Max went missing while outside in the yard back home in Florida.
Months later, Max turned up in Chicago after his implanted microchip revealed who he was and where he was from.
Max and his owner will be reunited back in Florida on Saturday.
It isn’t known exactly how Max ended up 1,000 miles from home, but it is believed that someone had stolen him.
