Here’s a little something you probably don’t know: The star of the new Disney movie: Beverly Hills Chihuahua was rescued from an animal shelter near Los Angeles just a short time before he was to be euthanized.
The moral of the story? After you go see this movie and decide you HAVE to have a Chihuahua, strongly consider going to your local shelter or rescue group and adopt one. According to the Best Friends Animal Society, Chihuahuas are the 5th most commonly posted dog breed on Petfinder.com.
In other words, there are plenty of awesome Chihuahuas out there–and any one of them is cool enough to star in a Disney movie.
