While aimlessly browsing around Myspace, I came across something truly awesome: It’s the profile of a dachshund named Poncho Wheels. According to Poncho’s profile, this poor little guy was hit by a car, paralyzed and left for dead. After some great care from a local vet and others, Poncho ended up finding his forever home with the person who had been fostering him. From the looks of the pictures and videos on Poncho’s page, he now has one heck of a life–he has a custom-made wheelchair, which has transformed Poncho into Poncho WHEELS.

You can check out Poncho’s full story on his Myspace page. This little guy is a true testament to a dogs’ resilience and ability to forgive and forget.

Go Poncho Wheels, GO!

As Poncho’s Momma, I’d like to thank Avenue K9 for featuring my boy !!
I have had many people tell me how lucky Poncho is for finding me but, the truth is, I am the lucky one !!
This little boy has taught me things and given me so much happiness. He truly is an amazing soul.

What a great story. The beginning was sad but what a terrific ending. Kudo’s to Joni for taking on such a daunting task and opening her heart, time and life to Poncho. This lady and Poncho are a testiment to what real love is all about!!
