aceball.jpgAce loves to chew. What exactly does he chew? Everything–dirty socks, my girlfriend’s expensive designer shoes, the cat’s toy, and luckily enough, his chew toy.

As long as he has his red squeaky ball chew toy, his ever-present chewing is confined. Life before the chew toy was quite costly, with hundreds of dollars of designer shoes and many a tube sock falling victim.

Ace’s chew toy has one severe drawback. It requires me to throw it…over and over again.

Most dogs will eventually tire of playing fetch, but not Ace. In fact, I don’t think he ever
tires of it. If I choose to ignore the bright red ball that always seems to be lying at my feet, Ace will stare at me. Ace has no problem staring at me and watching my every move for
hours on end, until I throw the ball.

There is only one way to stop his relentless staring: Throw the ball. So what
do I do? I throw the ball–a lot.
